Rit Liquid Dye works excellently on a large number of materials, including natural fabrics such as cotton, linen, wool, and silk. Use Rit ColorStay Dye Fixative immediately after dyeing to set the color. This significantly reduces bleeding and fading of the color.

Dyeing Methods

• Stovetop method

For the most vibrant color possible (or for nylon), we recommend this method.
Be careful when using over an open flame.

• Washing machine method

For larger items, we recommend this method. Rit Liquid Dye can be safely used in the washing machine and will not discolor metal parts. The product has been successfully used in washing machines for decades.

• Bucket method

Suitable for smaller projects such as T-shirts, sweaters, hats, and other small textile items.

Consumption & Guidelines

• 1 bottle is typically sufficient for approx. 1 kg of dry fabric, depending on the fabric type and desired color intensity
  
• Use less dye for lighter shades and more dye for more intense colors
