Rit Liquid Dye Apple Green

Rit liquid dye is a universal, non-toxic dye. This dye gives vibrant, lustrous colors to old and new fabrics/clothing such as cotton, linen, wool and silk.

Use Rit ColorStay Dye Fixative immediately after dyeing to set the color. This reduces color bleeding and fading.

Dyeing Methods:

Stovetop Method: For the most vibrant color possible (or if you are dyeing nylon), we recommend using this method. (Beware of fire!)

Washing Machine Method: To dye large items, we recommend using this method. Of course, we understand if you're not entirely comfortable with it. We guarantee that Rit will not discolor metal parts. The product has been used in washing machines for decades.

Bucket Method: This method is only for small-scale projects, such as T-shirts, sweaters, hats, etc.

Note: always do a test first. Colors can always turn out differently than you would like and are also determined by the existing color and material of the fabric.

We recommend always trying out dye projects first with a piece of test fabric, as the composition of existing dye in the fabric, fabric types, heat, and other conditions can affect the result. Always read the instructions carefully before use.
