Make figurines, prints and more with Cadence plaster powder. To make casting plaster you need: the plaster powder, clean water, a mixing cup or container, and mixing tools.

As a mixing ratio for preparing the plaster, use 2 parts powder to 1 part water by weight. Place the powder in a clean container or bowl and make a well into which you slowly pour the water. Stir gently until smooth; do not whip the mixture as this can create air bubbles. Tap the side of the container to bring any air bubbles to the surface.

Make sure the mould you are using is clean and wipe the inside with a damp cloth before applying the plaster. This will ensure that the hardened plaster can be easily removed once dry. Fill the mould in small sections and tap the sides to release air bubbles. The average drying time is 1 hour. The average curing time (time after which the plaster can be removed from the mould) is around 8 to 10 hours, depending on the mould size and the temperature of the room you are in; larger projects will take longer.
If you are going to paint the object, first make sure it is completely dry.
Clean any tools immediately after use with water and wash your hands to remove any residue.

Please note! The plaster generates heat during curing. Do not immerse any part of your body in the mixture to make a mould, as this can cause burns and permanent injury. Use alginate powder to make a mould.
